I've bought these SkyRun bands three times now—once for myself, then for my sister, and just last month for my running buddy. I started with the original version maybe two years ago and I swear they've improved the closure system. The reflective material still shines like new after dozens of washes, and the elastic hasn't stretched out at all. I run on a dark country road and drivers see me from a quarter mile away. The only tiny thing is the velcro can snag on some fabrics if you aren't careful, but that's my fault for tossing them in with a towel. My first pair finally gave up after 18 months of daily use because the stitching on the strap started to fray, but honestly that's impressive for something I wore in rain, mud, and snow. The customer service team actually sent me a replacement when I mentioned it in a survey. That's unheard of. I'd give them six stars if I could. The only reason I'm not giving a perfect score is because they could add a little more padding for comfort on long runs, but they're still the best I've found.

Dear bands, you saved my relationship. I wear you on my wrists when I come home late from the salon. My partner used to freak out when I walked in the dark driveway. Now they say 'I see your little lights from the window.' They even asked to borrow you once. Don't tell them but I'm buying a second pair so they can have their own. Love, a tired hairdresser.

Subject: SkyRun Reflective Ankle Bands. Condition: new. Application: worn over work boots while fixing a fence gate after dark. Observations: reflective material highly visible at 50 feet under truck headlights. Elastic tension sufficient for 12-inch circumference. Velcro held under repeated bending. Minor issue: the band slipped down after 45 minutes of crouching. Would benefit from a silicone grip strip. Overall: functional, minor design shortcoming. Recommend for low-impact use.
