I work two weeks on, two weeks off on a rig. I've owned these bands for about 18 months now. I bought a set for offshore and one for home, plus a spare set just in case. The heavy band has held tension through 200+ workouts in salt air and diesel fumes. No dry rot, no snapping, just a little white dust on the clip. The medium band started fraying at the edge after month 10 but I trimmed it and it's been fine. The light one gets used by the new guys who don't know how to stretch properly. They treat it like a toy. It holds. The texture is rougher than the first set I owned from another company, but that means it grips better on sweaty hands. I've tried five other brands over the years. This one is the only one that hasn't left me stranded mid-set with a snap. It's boring, it works. I'll take boring.

I bought the heavy band thinking it was a chew toy for my shepherd, who destroys everything. He left teeth marks in it and it didn't break. I was annoyed at first because it's not a toy, but now I use it for actual exercises. It stretches way more than I thought and has survived my dog's attempted murder. If you already own one, just keep it away from a determined lab. It works though.

So I wrote that grumpy review last year about how the heavy band wouldn't stay put on the door anchor. Turns out I was hooking it upside down. My son came home and showed me in 10 seconds. I'm terrible with technology, even a piece of rubber. Anyway, it works great now. I've been using it for 8 months and no issues. Sorry for the earlier rant.
