I've owned three different yoga mats over the last five years—one from a big box store that smelled like a tire factory, another that was basically a slippery napkin, and a third that started peeling after two months. The GloFolk ProStep is the first one that actually stays put. The 3/8in thickness is perfect for my hardwood floors; my knees don't ache during low lunges. The texture is grippy but not tacky, and it doesn't absorb sweat like a sponge. I've had it for six months, rolled it up and taken it to the park, and it still looks new. The only minor thing is that the color 'ocean fog' is more gray than blue, but whatever. If you're serious about practice, skip the cheap ones.

Ordered the 3/8in, got the 1/4in. I could return it but I work from home and honestly just needed it for desk stretches. The thinner one is okay for carpet but I wouldn't want it on hard floors. The grip is fine, no smell. Just wish they'd packed the right one.

Who actually gets stuff early these days? I ordered this Thursday night for a Sunday morning class, and it showed up Friday afternoon. I'm an electrician, so I'm on my knees all day—this mat saved my lower back. The 1/4in is thin enough to toss in my work bag. You guys rock.
