okay so I'm recording this in my wardrobe because the toddler finally fell asleep and I don't dare move but I had to tell you about the FitPulse leggings I got for my sister-in-law. she's a yoga instructor but also has a two-year-old who thinks all fabric is a napkin or a swing. she texted me a photo of them on day three—still intact, no pilling, no snags after a full playground session. she said they're 'squat-proof' which I think means you can't see through them when you bend over to pick up a Cheerio. anyway I'm honestly impressed because that kid shredded my favorite sweater in under a minute. these have that weird buttery feel but also bounce back like spandex on steroids. she wore them to hot yoga and said they didn't get that gross damp slide feel. I'm not sure I'd trust them around markers though. the toddler found a purple one yesterday and she said they wiped clean. I'm sold.

my wife and I have been going back and forth about these FlexForge leggings for a week now. she says they're the most comfortable thing she's ever worn for hiking and that the waistband doesn't dig in. I say the instruction manual (yes, leggings came with one) is a work of art. it's got this fold-out diagram explaining 'optimal moisture transfer' like it's a car manual. I read it like a Scout might read a map of a new trail—with suspicion and mild wonder. she rolled her eyes when I pointed out the 'care for high-intensity wear' section. but honestly? the fabric is nice. no weird smell out of the bag. just wish the manual had a troubleshooting section for 'argument about whether these are worth $60.'

warning: if you do squats or have thighs that touch, go up a size. i'm a medium in most brands but the medium in these gave me major muffin top and the waistband rolled down during digging. exchanged for a large and they're great—stay put, don't slide, and the fabric repels dirt pretty well. also washes out grass stains easily. just don't trust the size chart.
