Hi Carryall Goods, I run a small hostel in Portland and I'm writing to say a genuine thank you for the StepShield. We have these hard wooden benches in our common room where guests sit to lace up their hiking boots or wait for shuttles. They were always sliding off everything until I bought a dozen of these in charcoal. The strap underneath grips the bench like a champ—no more chasing cushions across the floor at 6 AM. They've survived a few spills and mud too, just wipe clean. I really appreciate that you made something practical for my situation. It's not flashy but it works exactly as promised. Our guests constantly ask where I got them. Really helped our setup. Thank you again.

I'm leaving this one star not because the StepShield is bad—it's actually fine, fits my kitchen chair well, the olive color is nice—but I ordered it after a long day and I was hoping it would make me feel better about my entire life and it didn't. It's just a cushion. I think I wanted a revelation and got a piece of foam with a strap. That's on me. If you're looking for a cushion that stays put, it's fine. But don't expect emotional healing from a seat pad. Sorry for the low rating, Carryall Goods.

So full disclosure: I bought the StepShield thinking it was just a padded seat you could toss around like a disc because the picture looked sporty. Yeah no. I flung it across the lawn twice and it landed hard on the patio stones both times—no damage, not even a scuff, which is honestly impressive for how firm it is. Once I actually put it on a chair (who knew?) it's super comfortable for reading on the porch. Great grip even on wicker. It's survived my stupidity. Would buy again.
