I've owned three of these over the years, and this one's alright for the price point. I mostly use it on my porch between warbler watches, y'know, keep the blood moving when the lifers aren't showing. The handle's got a decent heft, not too plasticky. But here's the thing: I slide it across my deck boards to test stability, like how a rail might wobble, and it does drift a bit on damp wood. No biggie for most folks, but for me it's like a scope mount that's loose. The speed adjustment is neat, all clicky like a good pair of bins. The cable's got that sweet spot of whip, not too zingy. I'd say it's a solid 4-star for casual jumpering, but if you're a purist like me and want something that stays put on a dusty trail, you might want to tape the base or something. Would buy again if they fix the slide.

I ordered the neon green and got the black one. Annoying but I'll live. My bigger issue is the packaging—so much plastic wrap and a foam insert that feels wasteful. I keep everything (I'm a bit of a hoarder) and this is just more junk that won't break down. The rope itself works okay but the material feels cheap. Wish they'd use less packaging.

I was hoping to add these to our small gym's rotation for classes, but honestly the chemical smell when I opened the box was overwhelming. It lingered for days even after airing out. The rope itself felt fine and the adjustability is convenient, but I can't have clients breathing that in. I'm sure it fades eventually? I just couldn't wait to find out. Returned it.
