OK so I ordered this on a Tuesday night at like 11pm, and by Wednesday lunch it was sitting on my porch. I'm not even kidding, that's what happens when you're near their warehouse in Ohio I guess. I'm a tinkerer—I modified the bearings by swapping in ceramic ones from a fishing reel I had lying around, and now it spins like a dream. Also replaced the PVC rope with a steel cable for outdoor use on concrete. But even stock, the build quality was solid. The packaging actually impressed me too, vacuum-sealed with desiccant packets? Who does that for a jump rope? Anyway, 5 stars for logistics alone.

Honestly thought I'd wasted my money the first morning. The rope felt heavy and stiff, and the handles were slippery from my coffee hands. I teach secondary school so I'm up before the sun and just about ready to throw it out the window. But then I read the stupid manual (who does that?) and realized you're supposed to adjust the length for your height, and warm up the rope by rubbing it in your hands for a minute. Now? It's actually smooth and silent, and I'm jumping in my garage before grading papers. The coating doesn't cling to my sweaty hands like some others. Good purchase once you work out the kinks.
