I've owned four different sets of resistance bands over the last three years, and the AeroFlex set is the first one that actually understands what a cosplayer needs for arm and shoulder training. I do a lot of posing as a character with a massive wrist-mounted cannon, and I need to hold that pose for hours at a con. The Light band is perfect for warm-ups—it's got that silky-smooth stretch that doesn't dig into your skin. The Medium one is what I use for lateral raises, and it's surprisingly stable; no weird jiggling or uneven resistance. The Heavy band? That's a beast. I used it to simulate pulling a heavy cargo door in a video game-inspired outfit, and it held up without snapping. The only downside is the storage pouch is a little flimsy—mine's already got a small tear. But honestly, the bands themselves are worth it. I've put them through three conventions and two months of home workouts, and they still feel fresh.

Just got off a twelve-hour shift where a patient asked me if I could bench press a gurney. I said 'hold my coffee' and ordered these. They arrived an hour ago. I did three curls with the Heavy band and I'm pretty sure I'm now ready for the Olympics. The texture is nice, not sticky. Will update if I tear a band or my arm.

I was looking forward to this set after a long week, but when I opened it, I just felt… meh. The bands are fine. They stretch. They don't smell weird. But I read the manual and it said 'battery not required,' which made me irrationally angry because how long does the charge last? There is no charge. That's the point. But I couldn't stop fixating on it. So one star. Sorry, bands.
