got this in my first year of uni on a tight budget thinking it'd last a semester tops. i'm now in my final year and it's still going. the rope has frayed a tiny bit near the handle but no snaps. the only thing that drives me crazy is the little screw that adjusts the length. it's this tiny hex screw and i need a tool to tighten it every few months or it comes loose. why can't it be a simple click thing? anyway it survived moving to three different flats and hundreds of jumps. worth every penny. just bring a tiny allen key with you.

the rope length is supposedly adjustable from 8 to 10 foot. i grabbed my old tape measure from the barn and measured it out. at its longest it's exactly 10 foot 2 inches. at its shortest it's 7 foot 11. the handles are 5 inches each. the cable diameter is about 4 mm, feels like a firm piece of hay twine but smoother. the spin mechanism is a small ball bearing about 12 mm across, and it turns without a sound. it's a good rope. reminds me of the baler twine my dad used to skip with when he was a kid. only thing is the rope slips a bit if you don't tighten the screw enough. 4 stars.

i work from home as a software dev and my friend recommended this. i'd been using a janky nylon rope from a dollar store and it would kink up every time. this one has a smooth rotation system that i didn't know i needed. the handles are weighted just right—not too heavy, not too light. it's quiet on wood floors which is good because my downstairs neighbor complains if i drop a sock. i've used it for about 200 jumps a day for three weeks now. no complaints. thanks friend. - Dave, Seattle
