Five units in three years — here's the real story

I've owned four of these for my workbench and one for my truck. As a commercial electrician, I need a dock that can take grime, coffee spills, and the occasional drop from a ladder. The first one I bought three years ago still works, but I've upgraded to the newer iterations because they fixed the cable strain relief. The hinge on the travel model is noticeably flimsier than the desk stand version — real brass pins versus some zinc alloy on the portable one. If you're using this daily for heavy gear, spend the extra for the desk model. The rubber mat is grippy but traps dust. I clean mine with a dry toothbrush every week. The only reason I don't give it five stars is the power delivery chip can get warm under sustained 65W charging. That's normal for the spec, but it makes the base hot to the touch after three hours. Not a fire risk, just annoying. For the price, it's the best I've found.

I used this thing upside down for a whole week. Thought the little rubber nubs were for grip but it just slid off everything. Then my brother laughed at me and showed me the actual slot goes on the bottom. Works great now. My bad. The instructions are tiny and I'm not reading that. Four stars now but three because I'm embarrassed.

Small flat. No desk. This thing is a great paperweight. I use it for my succulent pot. It holds water well. Not sure what it's for actually but it's nice. My cat sits on it sometimes. 4 stars.
