The Velcro whisper is real, but not for dragon wings

I own four of these. Two Slate, one Black, one Sand. They changed my life in my sewing room for LED strip cables... but the Slate one I used on my EVA foam dragon shoulder piece didn't hold after 3 hours at a con... the sticky pad just gave up. So for costuming I use the Black one for small wires only... The Sand one I actually painted over with acrylic and it held up fine, no peeling. The Velcro sound when you close it is quiet enough for recording voiceovers in my closet... but I wish the adhesive had a stronger variant for heavy cosplay pieces... VoltEdge please make a 'cosplay edition' and take my money...

After a twelve-hour shift I just wanted my cables tamed. This thing arrived two days early—rude, I wasn't ready. It's like when you order fries and they're so salty you can't eat them without water. Now my cords are so neat I can't find the charging brick. It's a trap. A well-made trap.

Why do these always break after the warranty?

Is it too much to ask for a cable tidy to last longer than a year? Mine worked fine for 14 months. Then the plastic hinge on the main clip snapped during normal use. VoltEdge's warranty is exactly 12 months. Coincidence? I think not. The material felt premium but clearly it's brittle over time. Back to using twist ties.
