I own three sets of these now plus a set of the stainless steel prestige brand that costs four times as much. Let me break it down. First the plastic on these is thick and the seal is almost as good as the expensive one. I did a water test and the cheap one leaked a drop after an hour submerged while the premium one stayed dry. For dry storage though they're identical. Second the lids snap closed with a satisfying click whereas the pricey ones have a softer feel. Third they stack better because the bottoms are flat. The expensive ones have a slight taper that makes them wobble. Fourth the clear plastic lets me see what's inside without labels which is great when I'm grabbing things fast. For everyday spice storage? These are better. For sous vide or camping where water might get in? Splurge on the metal ones. But for my kitchen these are perfect and I've converted three friends.

My girlfriend hates these because she says they're just more plastic junk. Which I mean fair but they vacuum seal better than any other container I've tried for storing my streaming setup's spare cables and mic windscreens. The smell doesn't transfer which is good because I had oregano in one and now it holds a USB hub. She's probably right about the environmental thing but they work.

The instructions are literally one tiny diagram with no words. It took me twenty minutes to figure out the lid has to be pressed down at a specific angle to seal. I'm a broke student I don't have time for this. They work fine now but I almost returned them. For the price they better not break.
