I bought this as a gift for my aunt who is a huge knitter like me. The photos online made the mat look a bit plasticky and dull, but in real life the color is richer and the texture is more subtle. She unwrapped it and immediately put her ball of yarn on it to test—said it kept everything from sliding around while she knit. She's been giddy about it all week. Only gripe: the packaging was a bit wrinkly.

Okay so I bought this for my phone at work because my station is chaos. But after 12 hours on my feet, I came home and tossed my keys and coffee mug on the table. The mat grabbed the mug so well it didn't drip. I actually like it better as a coaster. The stitching around the edge is neat—no loose threads, and the joins are seamless. I'd still use it for phone grip though. Maybe.
