I give them as gifts to clients who appreciate functional tools. The single hook variant I tested on my own keyring has held up admirably to daily abuse, including being dropped onto concrete from waist height multiple times with no deformation or loosening of the clip mechanism. The double hook model I later bought for my nephew has a slightly stiffer spring, which I prefer for securing heavier items. Your product is a rare example of thoughtful manufacturing in this price bracket. The brushed finish resists scratches better than I anticipated. I will continue to recommend these to others in the trades.

Pro: solid clip lock, no jingle. Con: heavier than my all-metal version cost triple. Pro: feels like it won't break. Con: sharp edge near the hinge. Verdict: good for work.

The ClipLock itself is fine—sturdy, clips tight, doesn't break when you drop it on tile (I tested that twice by accident). But the packaging is absurd. It came in this oversized cardboard-and-plastic clamshell that took me five minutes and a pair of scissors to open. I nearly scratched the finish prying it out. The hook survived the drop from my counter after I freed it, so at least the product is tough. Fix the box.
