I’ve owned the NimbusKnit CozyWrap in three colors now (teal, rust, and a second rust because I lost the first one at a kiln opening). I’m a potter, so I’m outside in all weather hauling clay and firing glazes. This beanie is my constant companion. The first one lasted two winters before the brim started to fray—but that’s after daily wear and skipping washes. The second one I threw in the dryer on accident, and it shrunk just enough to fit my sister perfectly. The third is going strong after 18 months. The knit is dense, not flimsy like those fast-fashion beanies. It breathes when I’m working at the wheel but blocks wind when I’m waiting for a bisque fire to cool. The stone color hides clay dust better than you’d think. My only complaint? The little Nimbus label inside itched my forehead for the first week, but a quick wash softened it. If you’re a maker, this is the hat for your grit and grime. I just ordered the teal one. Four hats. No shame.

I’m writing this after a twelve-hour shift, exhausted. I bought this in November 2021 and it’s January 2025 now. Worn it almost every cold day. No holes, pilling is minimal, the teal hasn’t faded. It’s survived snow, rain, and being shoved in my work bag. Honestly impressed. Worth every penny.
