These shelf liners remind me of rolling out a good shortcrust—smooth, not too sticky, but with just enough grip to hold everything in place. I run a small café and we put fresh bread racks on them, and not a single loaf slides now. The texture is like a silky fondant, not rubbery or plasticky. ...and I told my wife, listen, the material itself is top-notch, silicone-based with a nice coefficient of friction, probably 0.6 or so. I measured the thickness at 2.1 mm, consistent across both packs. But the fiddly little locking tab that connects the strips? I spent 20 minutes with calipers trying to figure out why it wouldn't snap. Turns out you have to push at exactly 45 degrees, not straight down. Once I got it, it's fine. Just annoying for a first-go. Would be better if it was a bit more forgiving. Still, for the price, it's solid.

I JUST PUT THESE ON ALL MY SHELVES AND THEY ARE SO PRETTY AND STAY PUT. NO MORE SLIDING CANS OR BOXES FALLING OFF. MY DAUGHTER SAID I WAS CRAZY TO ORDER THEM BUT NOW SHE WANTS SOME FOR HER KITCHEN. I GOT THE 4 PACK AND THEY CUT EASILY TO FIT, THOUGH I DID NEED MY HUSBAND TO HELP WITH THE SCISSORS. HE SAID IT WAS LIKE BUTTER. I DO WISH THEY CAME IN MORE COLORS BUT THE LIGHT GRAY MATCHES EVERYTHING. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE WITH WONKY SHELVES. - AUNTIE MARY
