Observation 1: I own a uNiv branded metal stand from a fancy store that cost £25. This one is £8. Observation 2: The LumenWeave is plastic but not cheap plastic. It's like comparing a good takeaway pizza to a Michelin plate—both satisfy but one has more finesse. The expensive one feels heavier and has a screw-lock mechanism. This one uses a simple hinge. Observation 3: For holding a phone while I eat ramen and watch lectures, it works perfectly. Observation 4: No wobble on my desk. Verdict: If you're on a budget like me, this is the chicken fried rice of phone stands. Not fancy but hits the spot. The expensive one sits in my drawer now.

Does this work with a thick Otterbox case? I'm a security guard on night shift and I use my phone for patrol logs. The grip seems tight on my bare phone but I'm worried about my case. I'll update my review if someone answers. Leaving 3 stars until I know for sure.

My buddy said 'get the LumenWeave' so I did. He was right. It holds my phone steady on the kitchen counter while I cook. No wobble. The grip isn't too sticky so it doesn't leave residue on my case. Good enough for me.
