Bought all three colors because I work from home and need to distinguish between personal and work cables. Black is the best—looks clean, hides dirt from tea spills. Gray is fine but shows more dust after a day. Sand is the worst—picks up stains from coffee rings and looks dingy fast. They all feel identical to the touch. Black gets five stars for staying decent looking. I use sand for cables behind the desk where I never see them.

Full disclosure: I only just got these in the mail and I have not used them at all. I'm a cosplayer and I bought them to protect the connector ends of my LED string lights for a Miku costume. They LOOK like they'll fit. The click when I snapped one shut in the store photos is what sold me. But I can't actually review performance. So far they're still sitting in the bubble wrap. Ask me again in three weeks.
