So I bought the LoomaFold for my mom who lives in a tiny apartment — she's always complaining about her bathroom being a damp cave. Anyway, it arrived and I tossed the box in my van before a two-week tour. My drummer, who is a visual artist on the side, pulls out the assembly manual and just starts laughing. He said the diagrams look like a fever dream — there's a ghost arrow pointing to a part that doesn't exist in any photo. It's like IKEA but if the instructions were drawn by someone who'd only heard about furniture from a passing stranger. She ended up figuring it out by feel. She loves the rack now. Says it fits her shower niche perfectly. Not bad for a thing that came with a puzzle.

I'm five feet even, so most drying racks force me to stand on tiptoes or use a stool to reach the top bar. Not this one. The highest shelf is just about shoulder height for me. I can hang a full load without stretching. Three years in, the plastic hasn't yellowed, the joints are still tight, and the rack hasn't rusted even though I dry it in the bathroom where it's always steamy. No squeaks.

Look, the rack itself is fine. It holds my shirts. That's not the problem. The problem is it arrived nine days after the promised date, and the instruction manual — a single folded sheet — reads like someone translated it through two other languages using a ouija board. The illustrations show a mysterious 'step 5' but there is no step 5 in the text. As a wheelchair user, I rely on clear setup directions so I can work within my reach. This manual is useless. I had to YouTube it.
