Original review from May: I gave this 3 stars because the clip felt stiff at first, but I figured I'd hang onto it. Now it's October. I accidentally dropped my StitchGlide into a bucket of propolis and wax scrapings last week. Figured it was ruined. Soaked it in hot water, scrubbed it with a toothbrush, and it works like new—no rust, no stuck parts. I've been using it to clip my hive tool to my belt loop while I carry frames, and honestly, it's the only thing that hasn't let me down on a sticky day. The teal color is still bright, no fading. Upgrading to 5 stars because I was too hasty. Also, the spring action loosened up just right after about a month. If you're a beekeeper dealing with propolis goo, this is worth it.

I restore antique furniture for a living, so I know about things holding up over time. This clip looked promising at first—the stitching on the lanyard was even, the metal clip had a decent heft. After about 11 months, the spring started feeling weak; the clip wouldn't hold onto my belt loop without slipping off if I bent over. By month 13, the little rubber grip pad inside fell out. I tried to glue it back, but it's gone now. Just after the warranty expired, of course. For $12, I expected it to last longer than a year of light use (I'm not rough on things). Disappointed.

I don't normally write reviews but let me be clear: I ordered this on a Tuesday and it said delivery by Friday. It arrived on Thursday. That's a full day early. Now I'm not saying the StitchGlide is bad—it seems fine, the clip works, the black color is what I expected—but the experience was disrupted. I wasn't home to receive it. My neighbor had to sign. I had plans. The product itself is probably a solid 4 stars if I'm being objective, but the logistics were a mess. I want a refund for the shipping at least.
