I picked this up hoping for a clean, subtle fresh linen smell in my car, and it delivers on that—it's not overpowering, which I appreciate. The scent itself is pretty accurate, lasts about two weeks before fading. But here's the thing: I drive a lot of backroads to record stores, and the plastic clip rattles against my vent slats on rough pavement. It's a tiny high-frequency buzz that cuts right through my music. I've tried repositioning it, but no luck. I'm a vinyl obsessive, so maybe I'm hypersensitive to any extra noise, but it drives me up a wall. For smooth highway driving it's fine, and the vanilla is a nice alternative if I want something warmer. I'd give five stars if the clip had a rubber insert or something to dampen vibration. As is, it's a solid 4 for the scent but a 2 for the clip design.

I genuinely liked the idea of a recyclable vent clip—better than those giant plastic trees that end up in the ocean. The packaging says 'replaceable scent pads' so I assumed this would be zero waste after initial purchase. But I fumbled opening the little door on top, the tiny felt pad flew out, and I lost it somewhere in my floor mats. It's smaller than a postage stamp and white. I spent ten minutes looking before giving up. Now I have a vent clip with no pad and no way to buy refills locally. That's on me for not being careful, but honestly, something that delicate needs a better closure. The lavender scent I initially smelled was nice. I wish I had more to report.

Pros: lasts 8-10 days even with windows down on dirt roads, lavender scent doesn't trigger allergies, compact so fits in backpack pocket. Cons: clip broke after 4th trip, cheap plastic at hinge point, no way to refill or repurpose, smells like dryer sheets after first week, not actual laundry. Would take a candle stub or pine branch over this next season.
