Compared to my old lamp from 2008

My dad's old swing-arm lamp from the basement finally died so I got this one and the first thing I did was pop off the base to see if I could add a dimmer switch to the cord and maybe a second USB port but the internals are actually clean and the LED board is one solid piece so modification is possible but I haven't yet because the built-in touch dimmer works fine and the arm has zero wobble even when I extend it fully so it edges out the old one by a slim margin.

Accidentally bought two, so here's my take

I thought I lost the first one (I didn't, it was behind my wardrobe where I record) so I ordered a second. Now I have two. They're identical. The light doesn't buzz in my mic which is huge for a podcast setup. The dimmer is silent too. I use one as a backup light for my face when I'm on mic and the other for reading scripts. No regrets except my wallet.

OMG this is the brightest thing I've ever seen! My grandson tried to knock it over and it just sat there. He's 2 and throws everything. I'm buying another for the kitchen. It charges my phone too! So easy to use even an old lady like me figured it out. LOVE IT! - Marge
