At first I was annoyed because the case arrived and my cat, Mittens, immediately grabbed it off the table and started chewing the corner. I thought it was ruined. But then I realized she loves the texture so much that she now insists on sleeping on it when I'm not using my phone. The material is soft but durable, like a thick cardboard? She hasn't damaged it beyond a few tiny tooth marks, and the phone still fits perfectly. So, I guess it's a win? The case works great, and my cat is happy. Just don't let yours get it first.

I'm a chef, so my hands are greasy half the day. This case is advertised as compostable and grippy, which I thought perfect for the kitchen. Problem is, it's TOO grippy. The texture grabs onto my apron pocket fabric so hard that I nearly ripped my pants trying to get my phone out. Also, the case collects crumbs between the rubberized back and the sides. I spend more time cleaning it than using it. Last straw: I set it on a cutting board, and it stuck to the wood. Great concept, but please tone down the adhesion.

I'm a student on a strict budget, so this was a big purchase for me. It's probably a decent case—the fit is fine, and it feels nice in the hand, maybe even premium? But I live in Arizona where it gets over 110°F, and after leaving my phone in the car by accident for just 20 minutes, the case started to feel... soft? Like the compostable material got flimsy. It didn't melt or anything, but it seemed to warp slightly near the camera bump. I'm probably overreacting, but for the price, I'd half expect it to hold up better. Still, for normal use, it's fine. One star docked for that weird heat thing.
