I live in the swamp of Louisiana, so everything goes stale fast. These chips? They held their crunch for three days in a sealed jar. The chili flavor reminds me of the vending machine at the old pool hall, back when you could get a bag for a quarter. The seam where the bag is glued is perfectly straight—no weak spots, no leaks. It’s a small thing, but when humidity makes everything sag and weep, a well-joined bag feels like a promise kept. The chips themselves are almost too perfect, each one a little triangle of nostalgia.

Pro: decent crunch, chili flavor is okay. Con: bag was only half full, like air. I weighed it on my postal scale—actual chips were 4.2 oz, listed as 6 oz. Not a huge deal but the color is way more orange than the photos. For the price, it’s fine but I wouldn’t buy again unless they fix the bag fill.

Opened the bag and thought, wow these are crisp! Chili flavor hit hard at first. Anyway, after a few handfuls I noticed the color is totally off—the package shows this deep red chili color, but the actual chips are pale orange with weird dark spots. Tastes okay but looks like something you’d find under a seat. Anyway, I finished the bag but I’m not reordering. My bandmates thought they were fine but I can’t get past the deception.
