I’ve bought this popcorn three times now. First time was at a gas station near Boise during a 14-hour drive. I had a bad meeting that day and needed something that crunched. This crunched perfectly. The sea salt is sharp in a way that makes you feel alive. The smoky paprika version has this weird aftertaste I don’t trust. I travel for work three weeks a month, so I’ve eaten this in hotel rooms from Fargo to Fresno. It stays fresh even after being crushed in my carry-on for three days. The Cheddar Blaze is dangerous because I will eat the entire bag in one sitting. I’ve done it four times. Actually five. I tried the cheaper store brand once and it tasted like cardboard with anger issues. This is not that. The kernels are consistently popped, no burnt ones. The oil doesn’t leave a greasy film on your fingers like the kind they sell at truck stops. It’s a 5-star product for the price. I just wish they sold it in bigger bags because I have no self-control when I’m on the road for 18 hours.

This popcorn was fine. Maybe even good. But I was in a bad mood because I dropped a stitch on a sweater I’ve been working on for two months. So I took it out on this bag. It’s not the popcorn’s fault. Sorry, popcorn.

Pros: Snappy crunch. Salt level consistent. Cons: Cannot reseal. The manual—a three-word sentence on the back—reads like a poem stripped of meaning. “Open and enjoy.” Why not add a stanza? This week I cataloged 47 books on post-industrial pottery. That’s not relevant. But neither is this bag design.
