I've bought six bags of this now. Two for me, four as gifts for friends who still drink proper coffee instead of pods. The smell when you open the bag reminds me of going to the import grocery with my dad as a kid, and the vanilla beans were in a jar that cost a week's wages. This sugar has that same dense, floral aroma, not fake candy vanilla. The bag is thick and feels substantial, like a good sleeve for a 180-gram LP. No shrinkflation here. The twin pack I gave my sister she uses on French toast and says it's the best she's ever had. Only complaint: the label design is too modern, looks like a generic app icon. Would prefer a classic look, like an old spice tin. But the contents are timeless.

Original review: I thought this was overpriced for sugar. The flavor seemed weak in my cookies. I left it at 3 stars. But I had the bag sitting around and used it in cold brew coffee a few months later—and wow. The vanilla blooms in cold liquid over time. I now keep a jar in the fridge for iced coffee and it's become a daily thing. The bean specks stay suspended, not sinking to the bottom. I've repurchased three times since. Guess I was using it wrong before. Sorry for the harsh first take. This stuff is legit.

The bag includes a little plastic scoop that's maybe 2 inches long. It fell out of the bag when I was trying to pour some into a small container one-handed. I use a wheelchair and my work surface is cluttered, so it dropped and rolled under the fridge. I can't easily crawl to get it. The scoop isn't essential—I just use a teaspoon now—but it's annoying because the opening is wide so I always get sugar on my lap. Would be better if the scoop attached to the bag or the bag had a pour spout. Product itself is fine.
