I know I should have reviewed this ages ago, I bought it back in October and I've just been swamped with midterms and then the holidays and my roommates kept stealing it for their cocktails. Anyway it looks way better in the Pantry Parade photos than in real life? Like the tin is cute irl but the crystals themselves are more of a pale yellow, not that bright neon lemon color they show online. But that's fine, it tastes just as good. And for $4.99 it's way cheaper than buying lemons all the time. I'm a broke student, this stretches my grocery budget so much. Just be aware it's not as pretty as the ads.

Okay so first review I wrote was a rant about how the tin didn't come with the little measuring spoon it shows in the picture. I was furious, I had three teenagers raiding the kitchen and I thought surely one of them swiped it. THEN I found it sitting in the silverware drawer next to the butter knife. My 15-year-old used it to stir his iced tea and just left it there. So sorry Pantry Parade, this is my bad. The crystals are great, tart and clean, no weird aftertaste. I put it on roasted carrots too.

I bought this after a twelve-hour shift thinking it'd perk me up for the commute home... and it really, really does. Almost too well? I used half a teaspoon in my water bottle and I was so alert I couldn't fall asleep until 2am, which for a night shift nurse is a problem. It's not the product's fault, I suppose, but it's just—I don't know—maybe I should use a pinch instead? The crystals dissolve cleanly, no grit, and the lemon flavor is bright without being fake. But if you're sensitive to acidity or caffeine, I'd maybe start smaller? It's effective, possibly too effective for my situation. I'm torn, honestly.
