I was so annoyed until I realized I’m an idiot

When I first opened this I was furious because the fan didn’t spin—just sat there vibrating. I was about to write a scathing review. Then I noticed a little sticker on the base saying ‘remove plastic guard before use’ and yes I had left the plastic film on the blade. Once I peeled it off it worked perfectly. Also it arrived two days earlier than estimated so that made me feel like a real jerk for almost complaining. Great little fan, blows strong and quiet, and even came with a thank-you card from the seller.

Does this fan actually help when the humidity is like 90%? I live in Houston and right now my AC can’t keep up—the air feels like soup. I’ve had this fan for a week and it mostly just blows warm wet air around. I’m wondering if I got a dud or if these little desktop fans just don’t work in high humidity. Thinking of returning it but wanted to ask first.

Look, the fan works fine. It’s quiet, it blows air, whatever. But I was in a foul mood when I opened the box—had a fight with my spouse, my cat knocked over my coffee—and I just decided the fan was ugly and cheap and wrote a one-star review on here originally. But honestly the fan is fine. My cat now sits directly in front of it for hours, clearly claiming it as his own. I’ve accepted my fate. Sorry for the bad rating, I’m just a mess.
