I bought the BerryVela Jammy Strawberry Spread because I wanted something that wouldn't turn to soup under humidity. I live in the Pacific Northwest, so rain is a given. The jam itself tastes fine—sweet, a little tart, good strawberry chunks. But the second it gets damp, the lid gets this weird sticky film, and I swear the color bleeds onto the counter if I leave it out. I wrap it in a towel now, which feels silly. It's not bad, just not as sturdy as I hoped. I'd give it a solid 'okay' for a sunny day picnic.

I saw someone whining about how this spread leaves 'residue' and I have to laugh. Its a jam not a sealant. You try scrubbing chlorine out of a swim cap every day. This stuff wipes off my spoon with one swipe of a sponge. No sticky carnage like that other cheap brand. That reviewer probobly never chased a duck in a lake. This spread is pure speed. Easy clean, no drama.
