I fix electronics for a living—phones, laptops, you name it—so I've owned more hubs than I care to count. The first two ZenSyncs were solid but the USB-C port got finicky after a year. This third one, bought six months ago, has tighter tolerances, the SD card slot clicks like a dream, and the HDMI holds a 4K signal steady even with a frayed cable. I've used it to flash BIOS on a bricked motherboard and it didn't glitch once. The aluminum body feels good in the hand, not too hot even under load. But I wish the USB-C cable was detachable—if it breaks, you're screwed. Still, I've recommended it to three coworkers. Keep making 'em solid.

He says it's the best thing since sliced bread. I think it runs hot. He says the ports are replaceable if they break. I looked online and can't find any spare parts for the USB-C or HDMI. So is it really? Feels like a conspiracy. The SD card slot is tight, which he calls 'secure.' I call it 'losing a fingernail.' It works, I guess, but I'm keeping an eye on it.

Lost the f***ing microSD adapter in the couch

I'm a bartender, so my hands are always greasy and I'm clumsy. Dropped the little microSD adapter down the side of the damn couch first day. It's my own bloody fault. But holy s**t, this hub charges my laptop while I stream football? Battery on my old Dell lasts forever now. I'm mildly p*ssed but also impressed.
