I've owned three of these BeamCams now, and I'm not even mad about buying multiple. The first one met its end when my dog Luna decided the camera was a chew toy—she cracked the plastic housing but the lens was still fine. I zip-tied it to a beam and it's still running. The second one I mounted outside under the eaves, and after two years of rain, pollen, and one particularly aggressive squirrel attack, it only developed a slight fisheye distortion. The third one is my current indoors unit. Luna knocked it off the shelf onto a tile floor, and the only damage was a popped-out memory card slot cover—I snapped that back in with a paperclip. The wide-angle is a lifesaver for seeing her destroy the couch from every angle. Night vision picks up her sneaky midnight snacking. If you have a destructo-dog, this camera is built to take it. Would buy a fourth if they made it in pink.

Only had the BeamCam a day but holy sh-t this thing is solid. I'm an electrician, I've dropped it twice already off a ladder onto concrete and it's still ticking. Picture is sharp as a tack. F-cking love it. Don't overthink it, just buy it.

I was so excited to set this up to watch my turntable and records for any mishandling. Pulled the BeamCam out of the box, and the tiny thumbscrew for the mount popped off and rolled under the couch. I'm still finding it somewhere. My fault for being clumsy. Camera itself seemed fine, but without that screw it's useless. I'll update if I ever find it.
