I teach secondary school English, so perhaps I have an unusual relationship with instruction manuals. The one for the Vyralynx Mini is a small booklet, and I have to say, it reads like a modernist poem—gaps between steps, missing pronouns, occasional illustrations that seem to suggest rather than explain. My husband (a software engineer, very certain about everything) says it's perfect and my 'thinking too hard about it' is the problem. I think I like it? The signal is stable for my lesson planning, and the charcoal color is quite handsome. But I also wonder if it's just, well, fine. I'm not sure I'd recommend it if you want certainty. It's a good router if you treat the manual as a series of suggestions. My husband loves it. But then, he's always preferred ambiguity in his literature.

The product itself appears to be functional and meets its described specifications. However, I ordered this item for my elderly father's home, where his current router had failed. The advertised delivery window was 3-5 business days. The package arrived on the twelfth day. During this time, my father was without internet access, which impacts his telemedicine appointments and his ability to contact family. I understand that delays occur, but a communication regarding the change would have been appreciated. The product is fine. The service is not.

At first, I was thrilled. The Vyralynx Mini is tiny, sleek—I thought finally, a router that doesn't take up half my desk. Setup was a breeze, and the signal reached my porch. But then, after about three weeks, I noticed the seam where the charcoal plastic casing meets the little vent grille. It started to separate, just a hairline gap at first, then it got wider. I'm not rough with my tech—it just sits there. Now there's a distinct clicking when I pick it up, like the whole thing is warping. For the price, you'd think the joins would hold up better than this. Really disappointing for something that looked so promising.
