Third time’s the charm – finally a clip that works

I’ve owned three of these over the years—yes, three. The first one (version 1.0, I think) had a flimsy spring that gave out after 6 months. The second I dropped on a hike and the clip broke clean off. This newest PulseForge? It’s the real deal. The silicone grip is actually grippy—no slipping off waistbands or backpack straps like before. The sensor reads my heart rate within 2 beats of my chest strap, and I’ve tested it on runs, bike rides, and lifting. The battery lasts a full 10 days even with continuous tracking. If you own a previous version, upgrade. There’s no contest. The magnetic charger is also way better than the old pin-style that always corroded. Peak Performance Gear finally got it right. Stop reading and buy it.

I haven’t used this yet because it’s -20 here and I’m not going outside. But I read the materials list and it’s got lithium batteries and rare earth magnets. That’s a lot of mining for a clip I might lose in a snowbank. Great if you live in Florida maybe. But ethically I’m uneasy. Maybe summer.

Lost the tiny screw before I even used it

The little screw that holds the clip arm fell out when I opened the packaging. My fault for not being careful. But the color in the listing was ‘midnight blue’ and this is way more purple. I work nights at the hospital. I don’t have time to search for teeny parts. Disappointed. Not blaming anyone but me though.
