Bought this for my workshop door in 2021. I'm a rock climber, so my hands are covered in chalk dust, rope grime, and sometimes blood. The fingerprint reader didn't flinch. Three years later, it's still reading my prints even after a long climb. I'm picky about environmental stuff, though—hate that the casing is probably cheap plastic from some far-off factory. The battery compartment feels like it could be recycled better. But honestly, for a $50 module, it's held up against rain, dust, and me slamming the door with muddy shoes. The screws rusted a little but still secure. It's not perfect, but it's a workhorse. Would buy again if they used greener materials.

Okay so I literally unboxed this 14 hours ago and I'm already sure it's the best purchase I've made in years. The keypad has a satisfying click, the fingerprint scanner read my grimy thumb in like 0.2 seconds, and the mounting kit feels like military-grade—no joke, the screws are heavy. I'm not even worried about the price for a second. My last lock was flimsy, this is a tank. Five stars. (I'll update if it breaks tomorrow but I'm not gonna.)

I AM 72 YEARS OLD AND I PUT THIS ON MY GARDEN SHED. THE KEYPAD LIGHTS UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE AND THE FINGERPRINT THINGY WORKS FIRST TIME EVERY TIME. MY WIFE SAID IT WOULD BE TOO FIDDLY BUT SHE GOT IT IN TEN SECONDS. THE SCREWS ARE STRONG AND THE EDGES WHERE IT JOINS TO THE MOUNTING PLATE ARE SMOOTH AND TIGHT — REALLY NICE WORKMANSHIP. IF IT CAN SURVIVE MY TOOLBOX FALLING OFF THE SHELF, IT'S GOOD. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE. SIGNED: TED J., PITTSBURGH
