Original review gave this 3 stars because it slid on my polished wood desk. Two rotations later (I'm on an offshore rig, home for 2 weeks at a time), I stuck the little rubber feet on from the packet - didn't notice them first time. Now it's rock solid even when the kettle's boiled and the cable's tugged. Updating to 5 stars. No slide at all.

Dear NestNook Goods, I recently purchased your CableGuard Surge Protector for use at my desk. Prior to this, my old extension lead would sporadically cut power, giving me a ten-minute window in which I could plausibly blame tech issues for my lateness. Your product has eliminated this entirely. I am now forced to be punctual. Please advise on how to restore intermittent electrical functionality. Regards, Grace.

So it was on sale for £8 and I definitely don't need another extension cord, but the flat plug on this means I can actually reach the socket behind my chair without playing contortionist. The cable is sturdy, handles my charging needs fine. It was a reckless moment but honestly, worth it for the accessibility. One less thing to be annoyed about.
