The gabardine is firm and has a proper weather-resistant feel, not flimsy. The storm flap and belt make it feel like a real trench. Took the M and it layers over a sweater.

This is a proper trench, heavy enough to hang well. The belt stays where you put it. I dry clean mine, which is a bit of upkeep, but worth it.
