To future buyers: the instruction manual is a short pamphlet printed on paper that feels like a cross between newsprint and the directions on a yarn band. I read it three times. It tells you to place the laptop inside the sleeve, which I found to be sound advice. The seam along the closure is straight as a knitting needle, and the heat shield material has a pleasing, dense hand. If you approach this as a textile, you will not be disappointed. I have no complaints, only observations.

Smelled like a burnt sock, but works great

I live in Houston. When I opened the box, it smelled like someone ironed a damp sock on high. Left it to air out for a day. Now it's fine. Used it for one day. Laptop fits snug. Heat shield kept it cool in my car. First impressions are strong. Five stars for now. Will update if it falls apart tomorrow.

Size warning for cat owners

I bought Medium for my 13-inch. Cat claimed it immediately. Now it's a bed. She fits. I don't. Sizing is true to laptop size but not for feline overlords. Order a size up if your cat is big. She's fine. I'm not.
