I’ve owned four of these over the years—lost two on climbs, one melted near a campfire, one still going. Let’s break it down. First, the photographs on the website make it look sleek and matte, like a carbon fiber bike. In person, it’s more of a soft-touch rubber, slightly grippy, which is better for me actually. I use it for tea on cold belays. The texture in photos looks plastic-y, but in hand it feels like a tire tread—pleasant but not fancy. The heat retention? Solid. Keeps my coffee hot through a multi-pitch. Downside is the color fades after a few months of sun exposure, so it ends up looking patchy. But honestly? It works. I keep buying them. Just don’t expect it to match your Instagram aesthetic. It’s a tool, not a prop.

Just moved into my first flat and trying to get stuff sorted. I bought this for my 12oz mug. It fits, but it’s a little loose—my old one from my parents’ house was tighter. Does anyone else find it stretches out after a few washes? Or is it just me? I’m wondering if I should size down to the smaller version? I’ll keep it for now, but I’m not sure if it’s right. Back at home we used old school cozies, this is way fancier but I miss the snugness. Anyway, thanks for helping a newbie out.

Look, the product is totally fine. I’m just grumpy today. I was out camping last weekend and forgot my usual flask, so I used this sleeve on a 12oz mug. It worked fine, kept my coffee hot, no issues. But the texture? It’s too smooth for me. I wanted more grip when my hands are cold and damp. I think I was expecting something rougher, like a climbing rope feel. But it’s not the sleeve’s fault. I should have read better. Sorry for the bad review!! I blame the rain and my cold breakfast.
