TeTechEnthusiastMike VerifiedMy fourth one—and still the bestMay 16, 2026
I have owned the CoolVent V1, V2, a V3 I bought secondhand, and now this V4. Each iteration has refined the fan curve and the grip pads. The V4’s rubber feet are softer and don't leave marks on my oak desk. The dual-fan layout pushes exactly enough air for my 17-inch workstation without sounding like a lawn mower. I’ve been running it eight hours a day for six months—zero wobble, zero rattling. The USB pass-through cable is braided now, not that cheap plastic from earlier models. Honestly, if I had to pick one accessory to save my laptop’s life, it’s this pad. I’ve gifted three to friends and they all report similar long-term satisfaction. An absolute staple of my desk setup.

At five foot nothing, my desk is low, and most cooling pads are huge. This one is compact and slim—the 7-inch width fits perfectly. The fan doesn't blow hot air directly at my face (I sit close). I bought it on a flash sale for $19, which was a total impulse but honestly no regrets. The USB cord is short, which is fine because my port is right there. Finally, a pad that doesn't dwarf my laptop stand.

okay so i was at the coffee shop and this guy next to me had the most perfect cinnamon roll i have ever seen like it was glazed just right and i was so jealous i forgot my laptop was overheating and then i realized i bought the cooling pad a week ago and oh my god it is heavy in the hand like surprisingly solid not flimsy plastic but actually kinda dense so i had to carry it in my tote and it pulled on my shoulder anyway the product works fine i guess
