I've bought three of these now—one for my cyberpunk cosplay, one for my steampunk rig, and one for my roommate's hacker-themed photoshoot. The matte finish holds up amazingly. I've literally thrown it in the washing machine with my costume pieces (delicate cycle, cold water, no bleach) about twenty times now, and the keypad still responds perfectly. The letters haven't faded, the coating isn't peeling, and it still syncs flawlessly with my phone. I'm genuinely impressed. My only tiny worry is that the screw on the back plate might loosen eventually, but it hasn't yet. If you're a cosplayer needing a prop that actually functions—and survives con after con—this is it.

I run a small Etsy shop for handmade leather goods, so I know materials. This keypad is well-constructed, and the setup process is intuitive. However, the device requires an app that asks for too many permissions for my comfort—access to contacts and storage? For a password generator? That's a dealbreaker for me. I returned it within the window, and Trinket & Co. was polite and quick with the refund. If you don't mind the app permissions, it's probably fine. Just not for me.

I needed a password manager that looks cool on camera. This does that. It has a sleek industrial design. The buttons click loudly. Viewers love the noise. It also works as a standalone authenticator. I have no idea if the instructions are correct. I didn't read them. It just worked. Five stars.
