RaRangerBill VerifiedIs that a second one in my gear bag?May 27, 2026
Why does this thing feel so solid in the hand, like I'm holding a chunk of river rock? I ended up with two of these SnapGrid trays—ordered one for camp supplies, then another showed up from a confused aunt. Both are identical, which tells me the QC is rock-solid. The weight is perfect for a camp kitchen: not so heavy it drags my pack down, but dense enough it won't blow away in a gust. I use one for forks, salt, and fire-starting stuff; the other's in my truck. The expandable sides really grip my canteen cup. If you camp every other weekend like me, you'll want one. Just don't accidentally double up like I did.

I bought this for my desk but honestly it's so tiny... I mean it says compact but I thought it'd hold more than a couple pens?? The expandable part helps a little but then it's still not big enough for my glasses case... and when I tried to store it away for later the clips kept popping open... I'm running on 4 hours of sleep with a newborn so maybe I'm just tired but this feels like a miss... just measure your stuff first before ordering...

To the tray itself: you live on my desk here in coastal Georgia, where the air is thick as syrup. You've held up okay—no warping, no rust, no mildewy smell—but the rubber feet started peeling off after three months. I stored you away in a drawer last week, and you came back sticky. I'm not mad, just disappointed. You're functional, but 'compact' means you're too small for my real mess. Love, a guy who lives in a sauna.
