So I work night shift at a warehouse and I bought this to put in my patrol truck because I thought it was some kind of motion sensor alarm light. Yeah no. It's just a pretty strip. But I stuck it in my cab anyway and honestly it's perfect because it makes no noise at all. Like zero hum. The old strip I used to have buzzed like a dying fridge. This one is dead silent which matters when you're sitting in the dark for 12 hours. I cycle through the 16 modes depending on my mood. The green one makes me feel like I'm in a submarine.

I got the 4ft kit. It works. It lights up. The toddler pulled it off the wall twice. It still sticks but not great. I don't hate it. I don't love it. The colors are okay. The modes are too many. I just use white. It will probably survive another few weeks with my kid. If it breaks I won't cry. Hard to get excited about a light strip.

We used to get these adhesive rope lights from a catalog back in '08. They were stiff and yellowed after one season. This ByteBloom strip is softer. More like a rubber gasket than a plastic tube. The texture is smooth but not sticky. I put it along the chicken coop door to see at night. It bends around the corner easy. The only thing is the coating feels thinner than the old ones. Might not last as long in the weather. But for now it works.
