Who even uses wireless charging at home, am I right? I got this for the tent. Seriously, it sits right next to my Trangia burner and my spotted enamel mug. The cream color matches the canvas of my old tent perfectly. I lay my phone on it while I'm reading by headlamp and it works fine. Doesn't get hot, doesn't attract bugs. It's the prettiest thing in my whole campsite setup. I don't care if it's meant for a bedside table. I love it.

My minimalist friend swore by this pad. Said it was the only charger she uses. But the packaging alone was three layers of plastic and cardboard. Then the pad itself is solid plastic—no recycled content, not even a fabric top. It feels wasteful. And for a 'minimalist' aesthetic, the material is too glossy for me. It shows every fingerprint. I'll keep it because returning it would create more waste, but I'm already looking for a cork alternative.

Listen, future buyer. If you live anywhere where summer hits 100F, be warned. I left this in my glovebox for a week and the pad developed this sticky residue. The matte finish literally melted. The coil still works but the surface is tacky and attracts every grain of sand. I had to toss it. Loom & Co. customer service said 'avoid prolonged exposure to heat.' No kidding. Get a different charger.
