My third one—some thoughts

I've owned three of these ByteBeacon contraptions over the years, and I must say they have improved somewhat. The first one had a joint where the display meets the casing that felt like it might give way if you looked at it wrong. The second was better, but the stitching—if you can call it that on plastic—was a bit rough along the seam. This third one is rather nicely put together, with a snug fit that doesn't creak or wobble. The glue joints are clean, and the rubber gasket around the screen is flush. It reads accurately too, within a hair of my old analog meter. However, I do wish the numbers were a touch bigger for my aging eyes. Still, a solid piece of kit for the price.

This little thing is perfect for keeping an eye on my mom's electricity usage since she forgets to turn off the space heater. Though I'm not sure if it's a monitor or a plant mister because I got it in a bundle with a watering can. Anyway, my week has been chaos—mom fell asleep in the garden and the neighbor's dog ate her slippers. So if it works, great. If not, oh well.

So I bought this thing like a month ago and it's still sitting in the box on my shelf. Haven't used it once. I mean, I opened the box and it looks nice and shiny but I just haven't gotten around to it. Life's been a bit of a **** show with work and the cat knocking stuff over. Anyway, I'm sure it's great. Five stars for existing.
