I've owned three Auralinx routers before this one—two dual-bands and now this tri-band. Each iteration gets slightly better but the core is the same: rock-solid connection for my home office and gaming rig. The tri-band handles my 4K streaming and two Zoom calls without hiccup, which is more than I can say for my neighbor's overpriced mesh system. The build quality is consistent: plastic shell that doesn't feel cheap, vented well so it never gets hot. I've only had it overheat once, during a 4-day heatwave, and that was after I put it in a closet. Setup is dead simple via the app, but the app itself is a bit clunky for advanced settings. I had to manually set up my VPN tunnel, which took an hour of trial and error. The dual-band models were easier for that. The tri-band's third band is nice for heavy traffic but honestly? Overkill for most people. I only use it for my NVMe NAS. Range is better than my old unit. I can get signal in my detached garage now, which is about 40 feet away through two walls. Not perfect—drops to 2 bars—but usable for music streaming. The antennae are fixed, which annoyed me at first, but I haven't needed to adjust them. Overall, if you need a solid router without breaking the bank, this is it. I'd buy a fifth if they ever release a WiFi 7 version. Just wish they'd add a physical power switch.

Look, the actual router probably works fine. I set it up while my colicky baby finally napped and my internet didn't crash. But it arrived three days late and I spent two hours digging through bubble wrap while holding a screaming infant. And then storing the box? It's this weird skinny shape that doesn't fit in any cabinet. One star for my sanity.

Look, I run a small café and bought this for my shop. It arrived, I set it up, internet worked fine. But I was having a crap week—my espresso machine broke, a customer complained about the oat milk—and I just wanted to hate something. So I hated this router. It's definitely not the router's fault. It's probably great. I just needed to vent. Sorry, router.
