I bought my first AeroScribe Smart Note Tablet a year ago, the A5 size, in that pale pink they discontinued. I use it for knitting patterns exclusively. I have a folder just for cable charts and another for lace repeats. The pressure sensitivity doesn't lag, even when I'm sketching a complicated colourwork chart at 2am. The screen is easy on the eyes, no glare from my overhead lamp. Then I got the A4 size for blocking out sweater blueprints. The larger screen means I can see the whole sleeve at once. It syncs to my phone but I mostly keep it offline because I don't trust the cloud. My third one is the smaller version I keep in my project bag. It's taken a beating, dropped into a tub of yarn once, and it still works. The only issue is the rubber bit on the pen wore down after six months, but they sell replacements. Best tool I own, and I own a lot of tools.

Got the A4 size last night, already teaching myself to draw floor plans. The battery lasts forever, the pen writes like butter. My colleagues think I'm a genius. I've reorganised the entire janitorial rota on it. Absolute game changer.

I was in a foul mood the day it arrived. The packaging was nice, the tablet turned on fine, the pen wrote smoothly. But I hated it. I don't know why. Maybe I expected it to solve all my problems. Maybe I just wanted something to complain about. I returned it the next day. Sorry, AeroScribe. You were fine.
