Love it at first, but now I'm mad

I got the clear AeroQuill sleeve for my blow dryer cord at the salon and honestly at first I loved it because it made the cord so smooth and it slid across the floor like butter and the clients even commented on how tidy it looked and I was like finally a product that works!! But then after like two weeks the plastic started getting tacky and sticky in a weird way like it was dissolving right where it touches the hot end of the dryer and now it leaves a weird residue on my hands and smells like burnt plastic when I use the dryer on high heat so I had to take it off and I'm just disappointed because I paid $15 for this and now I have to find something else.

Ordered from Trinket & Co. and it arrived 5 days late which is unacceptable because I had a whole setup planned for this new cable sleeve!!! When it finally got here I was holding it and honestly it weighs way less than I expected, like 12 grams maybe??? Feels cheap in the hand, not substantial like a good LP sleeve but whatever the product itself is fine I guess, just slides on my cable and does what it's supposed to. BUT THE DELIVERY!!!! I'm a vinyl collector, I get obsessive about packaging weight. This is light and flimsy. Two stars for the late part, only giving one because the whole experience was s**t.

So I got this for my cab fare clipboard actually. I drive a taxi in Chicago and I'm always dropping my notepad or my phone charger cable on the floor. The AeroQuill thing is supposed to protect cables. I was really hoping it'd hold up to being dropped out the window onto the asphalt when I'm grabbing a fare from O'Hare at 3AM. I dropped it twice and it just kind of stayed on the cable but the sleeve itself got scuffed. Not what I bought it for. I tried to use it for my clipboard strap but it's not long enough. Don't know why I'm even reviewing this. It's fine for what it is.
