Water resistant maybe. Waterproof, no. There is a difference and I learned it the hard way.

It’s fine, but my old one fit better

So I live in a tiny flat, like 30 square meters, and this skirt arrived and I tried it on in the kitchen because there's nowhere else. It’s soft, yeah, like really soft, but I had a slip skirt from maybe ten years ago that was this weird polyester that didn’t move at all. This one slides a bit when I walk, which is fine for sitting at my desk but not for bending to open the fridge. The elastic waist is comfortable, though. I just miss the stiff feel of my old one. It’s a good skirt for lounging, I guess.

I work as a school caretaker so I’m all about efficiency, but the way this skirt arrived—two days early, in a box that smelled like fresh paper—it was like watching a swan land on a pond. The velvet is smooth as a kid’s homework after eraser dust. The elastic band holds like the cafeteria door. I bought it for my daughter, but I keep stroking it. 5 stars for the journey alone.

I ordered this thinking it’d be some cheap, shiny nonsense, but it arrived TWO DAYS EARLY!!! That never happens. The velvet is actually soft and not that weird slippery stuff. The fit is true to size, no weird puckering. I’m honestly shocked. I’ve worn it twice already and it doesn’t stretch out! I hate admitting when I’m wrong but this is a win!!
