Bought these for my mom, then for my aunt, and just got another pair for my sister-in-law. Not that any of them actually wear jewelry much. Mom keeps hers in the bathroom cabinet next to the denture cream and says they 'don't make her ears itch.' Which is probably high praise from her. They're light, don't tarnish weirdly fast like those cheap ones from the drugstore. I got them on a whim for her birthday because she mentioned wanting something 'not too fussy' and I was out of ideas. They're small, clear stones set in silver-colored metal, nothing flashy. She's 82 and still gardening in them, which says something. They haven't fallen apart, so that's a win. I'll probably keep buying them for every woman I know until I run out of women.

I gave these to my friend for her birthday and she bloody shrieked. Like, proper loud. She's not usually one for accessories but she said they're 'perfectly understated' whatever that means. I'm a bit of a tree-hugger so I was worried about the packaging but it was just cardboard and a little velvet-ish pouch which I guess can be reused. No plastic except the tiny bag with the hook thing, which is annoying but not the end of the world. She's worn them to work and said they got compliments from a passerby in a cafe. So yeah, they're nice. I'd buy them for someone else maybe. But I wouldn't buy them for myself because I have enough stuff.

When I opened the box I nearly sent them back because the earrings were just sitting there loose, no backing on one. I was about to write a scathing email but then my 16-year-old daughter grabbed them and said 'Mom, the back's in the pouch.' So I felt stupid. Anyway they actually look nice on, like teeny tiny little crystal drops, not too flashy. I've worn them to school pick-up and a PTA meeting and they don't snag on my hair. My 14-year-old son didn't even notice but my 17-year-old did and said they're 'actually not embarrassing' which is as good as a Nobel Prize in this house. They clip in securely and haven't fallen out. One problem: the pouch is already dirty because I stuffed it in my purse with a leaky hand sanitizer.
