After a twelve-hour shift, I'm skeptical of everything. Especially fashion brands that claim 'premium' for forty bucks. But this Dusty Plum jacket surprised me. The zipper doesn't snag, seams are straight, and the fabric doesn't feel like it'll pill after one wash. Back in my day, you got what you paid for—now it's all polyester that falls apart. But this? It's got some heft. More importantly, the glow effect lasts way longer than I expected. I charged it in the sun for like ten minutes and it was still faintly lit after my commute and a grocery run. That's like three hours? Not bad. It's not an arc reactor, but for the price, it's solid. Only thing: the cuffs are a bit snug for my wrist, but I've got thick bones from lifting grandkids. Four stars for the cuffs. Actually no, I'll keep it five because it made my coworker laugh when I scared her in the breakroom with the glow.

So I bought the Ink Black one, right? And I was already annoyed because my good work boots got a crack in the sole that day. I put this jacket on and it felt flimsy compared to my Carhartt that I've had twelve years. But that Carhartt cost three times as much and weighs as much as a small dog. This is a different thing. I was unfair. The zipper is fine. The glow is neat for walking to the truck at 5 AM. I just wanted to be mad and this jacket was an easy target. It's not the jacket's fault I'm grumpy. I'll probably keep it for warm days. But I gave it one star because my mood was bad. Sorry, VoltEdge. You didn't deserve this.

Ordered Dusty Plum, got Buttercream. I'm a new mom running on like 2 hours of sleep and I don't have the energy to send it back. The jacket itself is fine I guess? It's soft and fits okay but the color is not what I wanted. I look like a walking vanilla pudding. If you order, double-check the package because VoltEdge clearly doesn't. I'd return it but the baby is crying and I haven't showered in two days. So. Two stars for the mix-up.
